Customer Challenge
Having previously owned a home with solar panels, our customer had already experienced the financial and environmental benefits of generating their own electricity. After moving into their detached bungalow in Hemsby, installing solar quickly became a priority.
With annual electricity consumption of around 3,100kWh, he wanted to reduce his reliance on rising energy prices and gain greater certainty over future household costs. Being retired, keeping energy bills affordable was particularly important, while also making an investment that would benefit the environment and add long term value to the property for his family.
The bungalow’s large south-facing tiled roof provided an ideal opportunity to maximise solar generation.

After discussing the customer’s energy usage, future plans and budget, we designed a system that delivered exactly what he needed, without recommending unnecessary equipment.
The installation consisted of 10x premium AIKO 475W All Black solar panels, producing a total system size of 4.75kW, paired with a 5kW inverter to maximise performance and efficiency. To help protect the investment for years to come, we also installed a discreet bird protection system around the array.

The Outcome
The completed system is forecast to generate an estimated £820 per year in energy savings and returns, significantly reducing the customer’s electricity costs while providing greater energy independence.
Beyond the financial benefits, the homeowner now enjoys the reassurance of generating clean renewable energy once again, helping protect against future energy price increases while reducing their carbon footprint.
